René Richter is a distinguished entrepreneur and business leader with a remarkable career that spans over three decades. As the former Managing Director of Remchannel, René has been instrumental in shaping the reward management landscape in South Africa. She is now the Managing Director of Quantren Reward Solutions, a company she founded in August 2023. René’s entrepreneur approach is exemplified by her establishment of South Africa’s first online salary survey in 2000, setting a new standard for real-time, web-based remuneration data in the country. Her influence and perspective on reward management have been pivotal in the industry’s evolution. René’s exceptional career is further highlighted by her achievement being appointed as female Partner at PwC in 2013, earning this prestigious role based solely on her extensive experience and exceptional skills. This accomplishment underscores her ability to break barriers and lead with innovation and excellence, solidifying her reputation as a formidable force in the business world.
René is also the Reward and Benefits Lead Advisor for Paymenow a fintech company as well as the Chief Marketing Officer of the Total Reward Knowledge Hub, a non-profit company which she co-founded with two colleagues in the Reward profession. She serves on various remuneration committees and provides Reward and HR Consultancy services to various clients across all industry sectors.
She continues to contribute to the Reward fraternity and serves as a Committee Member of the South African Reward Association’s Reward and Conference Committee.
